Sometimes it’s aliens.

This entry will be a double post and a slight deviation from previous write-ups on this blog. Horizon 5 design number 2 was created directly in Horizon 5 instead of using the editor from a previous game and importing my work. When I was working on the design, I hadn’t realized that non-uniform scaling of objects was a toggled feature. This resulted in an awkward build process. The general unease I experienced with the editor carried over into finalizing and led to my decision of creating an alt version for the design. So, if you’re a fan of cartoons on cars, I have great news! Alien Evasion can be downloaded for the 2015 Audi RS 6 Avant and UFO Rushdown for the 2013 Audi RS 4 Avant.

Final layer count for Alien Evasion is 855. The Final layer count for UFO Rushdown is 859. Given my struggle with the new editor interface in Horizon 5, I’m mostly pleased with the final results. All of the essential elements for a good sci-fi cartoon are present; expressive alien, UFOs and a ray-gun. These two designs are up and ready for download in Horizon 5.
