Horizon 5 - It’s lit!

Forza Horizon 5 has been out for a few weeks now and I’m finally getting around to posting my first new design for the game. “Boom Skulls” was drawn up for the 2017 Acura NSX. For this design, I decided to use the more familiar Forza Motorsports 7 editor to create the image since this car is available in both Motorsports 7 and Horizon 5. Thankfully, the design import feature works, unlike importing in Horizon 4. This means work I’ve created in previous Forza games should be available to place on cars as long as that particular vehicle is in Horizon 5. As my first design for the new game, I kept it pretty simple. Skulls, dynamite, and a lighter. Don’t over-think it.

I’ve developed a formula for how I like to go about creating designs for cars in the Forza games. I’m happy to say that Forza Horizon 5 hasn’t introduced anything new to get in the way of that. It wasn’t my intention to create a video game review blog, so I won’t spend a lot of time talking about how GREAT Horizon 5 is, but I will mention that the user interface for the editor has been changed up a bit. If you’re into drawing in the Forza series, then you’ll notice a difference pretty quickly. The biggest change to the design editor in my opinion is how the scaling of objects is handled. Now, non-uniform scaling of objects is toggled on and off with the left trigger when editing an object. It’s easy to miss the tool tip at the bottom of the screen explaining that when editing!

Final layer count for the design is 771. Boom Skulls is available for download in Forza Motorsport 7 and Horizon 5. If you are downloading it in Horizon 5, Boom Skulls can be found using the share code 124002343. I’ve got some more stuff on the way, so If you enjoy the design, be sure to drop a like and check back here soon.
